Valley of Fire State Park

Valley of Fire State Park, NV is a place that could easily be a national park but the state won't let go of it. It is close to Las Vegas (just an hour away) and really amazing to see and visit.

It is made up of a lot of sandstone formed into odd formations that are quite paradoxical before the eyes. There are also quite a few Indian Petroglyphs and other stuff that point to people having lived here for many years before our civilization even came to this continent!

Red and orange sandstone glow in the last light of day in a small arch alcove in Valley of Fire State Park. This arch is well hidden but still has suffered much from people leaving graffiti and other destruction.

Black and White Fire Arch in Valley of Fire may be more dramatic than color because of the depth of shadows, contrast, and moods that are present. The perspective can be decieving, this arch is actually less than 3 feet tall!

Rv's often fill many of the campsites in the Valley of Fire Arch Rock camground, especially during the cooler months when visits come from much colder places to warm up.

Valley of Fire State Park is located very near Las Vegas, Nevada. This makes it incredibly convienent for people to visit and enjoy, sadly also very easy for people that leave their mark in negative ways.
