Arches National ParkThursday, January 15, 2009 This new gallery represents on of my most favorite spots in the world, Arches and the surrounding canyonlands area. These images currently represent a winter time trip to the area and soon photographs from all seasons will be added to the gallery. This gallery pays homage to Arches National Park, a very unique park in the United States and in the world. Over 1000 natural rock arches have naturally formed over the last several million years in a very small area. Many are only a few feet across, to technically be classified as an arch it must have a span of 3 feet, but several are over 100 feet in diameter. This park and area conjures up in the mind a fantasy land type feel the first time and every time it is viewed. |
